Care

This jacket has been hand-waxed in-house with a natural blend of linseed oil and beeswax. Because of this traditional finish, it requires a bit of special care to preserve its beauty and longevity.

Avoid machine washing or dry cleaning. Water, heat, and detergents will strip the wax coating.

For light cleaning: use a soft, damp cloth to wipe away surface dirt. If needed, a gentle brush can help loosen dust or mud once dry.

To refresh the wax: over time, the fabric may lose some of its sheen or water resistance. You can gently warm the surface with a hair dryer and use a small amount of beeswax-based garment wax to recondition areas that look dry or creased.

Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight or high heat (like radiators or car interiors), which can soften or melt the wax.

Expect character. The beauty of hand-waxed fabric is that it will evolve. Creases, color shifts, and wear marks are all part of its story, growing richer with time and use.
